Herpes and Warts
Herpes is the name of the virus that causes painful sores and blisters. There are two types of virus: Simplex 1 (HSV 1) and Simplex 2 (HSV 2). Warts are a type of sexually transmitted infection (STI). Soft, wart like growths on the genitals or surrounding areas are known as genital warts. It’s difficult to lead a healthy life with these conditions as you become more prone to illnesses because of weakened immune system. Some of these health conditions may also lead to infertility.
Here’s what can be done
Young people are just not ready to accept the fact that even they could be affected by STDs. They take things too lightly. A strong and solid educational system should be put in place to inform kids and teenagers about these health conditions. It is important that people are informed as much as possible about these problems so that they can avoid them and take precautions. It is better to be safe than sorry. People should be more selective in their relationships.
