We’re a fun-loving bunch at SexyFun, so it’s not unusual for someone to come up with some wacky idea or scheme on any given day. Brenda, the SexyFun manager, not only manages to run the business sensibly with the help of the world’s most insensible, crazy people, but she also manages to have some fun herself once in a while.
What she did this time was not something unusual for her, but it was rather unusual for some people who are “indirectly involved” with the SexyFun team. She asked everyone at SexyFun to take their favorite sex toy home, show it to their boyfriend/ girlfriend/ husband /wife and to use it with them. The immediate responses from staff went something like this:
Ben: You can’t do this to us. I only met Anne* a week ago and I don’t even know if she is into sex toys or not!
(* name changed for privacy reasons)
Megan: I am pretty sure that my boyfriend is comfortable with the idea of using a sex toy. But I can’t just push a vibrator at him and order him to use it. But, that said, I think it’s a great idea; we’ve been wanting to incorporate them into our sex life for a while. Now I can tell him that we will be ‘official adult toy testers’.
Jason: Jess doesn’t even know that I am no longer working as “Accounts Executive” here and that the recent raise I got is because of the change in “line of work”. She thinks we sell products and supplements for sexual problems; I have yet to tell her the truth. I don’t want to go home and say: “Look what I got for you honey, it’s my favorite vibrator.”
Jen: You can’t sit there and smile at us like we are a bunch of silly kids! What you’re asking us to do could ruin our relationships.
Brenda: Yes, but maybe it could do wonders for your relationships. I don’t want you to go home and pounce on your partners. Take your time, build trust and intimacy, and then go bring it up sensitively. I don’t mind if it takes months or even a year. We have all used toys for solo fun, but we only have our customer’s reviews to tell us about our couple’s toys. I just want to be able to answer all the questions and concerns of our readers. I know that most of you are in new relationships and this territory is alien to you, but if you want to go to the next level, this can help you to a great extent. The decision is, after all, up to you.
Brenda has this matter-of-fact way of making us all see the sense in her ideas, which do sometimes seem a bit crazy at first. So, like always, we found ourselves going through all of the products in our minds, wondering which one to start with.
